Primary Roles : The role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission of HEWA HOLDINGS. Will need to take executive decisions and will need to direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and mission development.

 

Primary Responsibilities : I am responsible for all aspects of the IT and Systems which includes - Propose budgets for projects, purchases and upgrades equipment, supervise computer specialists and IT workers, and presides over IT-related projects

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of Hewa Group as a member of the senior management team.

  • Develop a communication system for the company, including network infrastructure, wide area connectivity, etc.

  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve focused goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.

  • Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.

  • Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.

  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and In/Out-house development.

  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.

  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT setup at organizational level.

 

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.

  • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.

  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on cost-saving on big-ticket items.

  • Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.

 

Operational Management

  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.

  • Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.

  • Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems.

  • Ensure the security of the business’ & IT assets. This is a particularly problematic situation for businesses in light of the recent spate of hacker attacks.

  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.

  • Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities.

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of technology resources.

  • Develop & implementation of IT Strategy which is closely aligned with the financial services of Swadhaar & its business strategy and growth plans.

  • Plan, analyze and deploy new technology projects to increase revenue and gross margins and reduce operating cost including initiatives such as mobile technology, intranet and internet.

  • Work with business heads, vendors and customers to review and modify existing process to bring in efficiency using technology.

  • Formulate appropriate IT policies and procedure as provided in the Law & guided by the ITIL’s best practices.

  • Get the buy-in of user champion’s on Technological benefits.

  • Lead, drive and manage a team of resources to deliver solutions to Customers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh.

  • Participate and provide consultancy service to large RFP’s/RFI involving solution structuring, product customisation, and demo/client presentations.

  • Provide technical Support to customers across the delivery channels and evolve as a Support Centre for Excellence.

As Sr. Corporate Manager, My responsibility was also for the Administration of the TOPSGRUP HQ and its Eight group of companies with 110 offices, under the TOPSGRUP India Flagship.

 

Overall Responsibilities in a nutshell was :

 

Being an ISO & ISMS certified organization; the need was to closely work with the Quality Department for ‘continual development’ of IT infrastructure, procedures and processes.
